Figuring out Your WHY

What sets People Apart?

There are some people in this world who no matter what the circumstances will be able to pull off a home run hit in the ninth inning when their team is down by 3. Usually the team always depends on them to win the game and with ease they always seem to come through. There are others who under the same pressure would drop the bat before they even stepped foot on the plate. What is it about the first kind of people that make them so adept and frugally winsome at just the right times in life?

The true answer is that those who don’t have enough fight left in them to stay in the fight, didn’t have a good enough reason to be in the fight in the first place. Did you catch that? In other words, their why wasn’t big enough.

The players in the game of life who come to bat expecting the home run, even when they are down and out are dramatically able to visualize their “why” or their reason for doing things in every circumstance. They are committed to their purpose and whether that purpose is to win a baseball game or make a million dollars.nothing is worth giving it up!

Have a Compelling Reason

As you begin a business endeavor you must make it a priority that has your commitment and devotion. This means that every minute of every day you need to be thinking and moving towards your goal. When you figure out your reason for succeeding that has to remain the one thought that keeps you moving and allows you to keep trying when things get rough.

If you are moving in a new direction and are all excited about the possibilities then you are probably dissatisfied with your current state of affair. If money and vacations are what you covet and you are determined to make things happen to do so your efforts may eventually stall out.

If that is the extent of your “why” (the reason why you will set about to change your life) it’s probably not strong enough to sustain you in the tough times. There’s nothing wrong with wanting “things.” Everyone does. But things get old and soon you’re weary of them. As to leisure time, that also gets old. What do you want to do with your leisure time? That’s where your why comes into play. There must be a strong sense of purpose.

By knowing what your reasons are and by adapting and changing them you will never lose your ‘why’ or your purpose for continuing to be successful.

How to Know if Your Why is Big Enough

If you are reading this article then you have probably experienced moments intertwined with success and failure. Perhaps you have launched an internet marketing business of your own or a home based business and things just didn’t seem to go right.

If your why’s are not up to par then you wont succeed. Your why’s have to be relevant to significant areas of your life that truly resonate with your deepest passion and intention.otherwise you are headed for trouble.

There are things you can look for in yourself to see if you have made valid and meaningful reasons to succeed. If you experience any of the following sings or symptoms, chances are you need to take a step back and reevaluate your “Why’s.”

Look for the Signs.

Below is a list of possible signs that your why may not be strong enough:

Inability to achieve regular goals or procrastination Worried about what others might be thinking, or self conscious Unable to trust your decisions, worried or fearful Inability to make quick decisions that you feel good about Unsure of what you should be doing Afraid to fail or make mistakes (because you wont pick yourself back up) Lack of motivations Always planning, but never doing! Lack of organizations in actions and plans

In the words of Jim Rohn

“When you know what you want, and want it bad enough, you will find a way to get it.”

That quote describes exactly how serious your “why” for doings things should and has to be to succeed.

Allow No Excuses
