How To Easily Spot Fake Ebay & Paypal Emails

In the last couple of weeks, I have gotten a rash of fake Ebay and Paypal emails asking me to "verify" my account information. These phony emails are actually pretty easy to spot.

If you receive an email from Ebay or Paypal that begins like this:

Dear Valued Ebay Customer,

or

Dear Valued Paypal Customer,

then you know its a fake. Ebay emails will address you by your Ebay username while Paypal emails will address yo by your full name.

Do not visit any link contained in these email and certainly never submit your personal information to them.

Forward any fake Ebay or Paypal emails to spoof@ebay.com
